 | There is a very strong sense of community at Buckley and the boys and the faculty feel great pride at being members of it. The boys learn cooperation and teamwork in the classroom, on the stage and on the playing fields. We promote these relationships and encourage all members--including parents and alumni--to be closely involved with the School.
With fundamentals based on our valued traditions, our community also addresses change to adapt to our ever changing society. Respect between students and the faculty is one of our core values and makes for a considerate and positive environment where boys balance their individual accomplishments with the need to work together as a group and help others.
Parent involvement is greatly encouraged at Buckley. The library, the safety patrol, stage productions, the Family Skating Party, the Theatre Benefit, the Used Clothing Sale, the Book Fair, the Spring Art Exhibition Day and Grandparents Day provide many opportunities to volunteer. The Fathers Committee organizes annual Father-Son events such as: the overnight camping trip in the fall, a dinner off campus for Middle and Upper School fathers and sons in the winter, and a baseball game outing every spring.
A sense of pride and loyalty to Buckley is reflected in the active involvement of our alumni body. Years after graduation, many of our alumni maintain a strong connection with the School and the friendships made here.
