At Buckley we believe that every boy should live a healthy lifestyle, which begins by being active every day. Our boys are required to participate in our physical education program and to join a competitive team in our Upper School. They work hard, they win, they lose, and they grow alongside one another.

The focus of our program is physical fitness, and the boys learn the importance of that life skill from an early age at Buckley. We encourage them to improve their strength and conditioning through our Ironman and Gladiator challenges, and our boys develop good habits as a result.

Skill development is important to us as well, and the boys are trained during afternoon practices throughout the Lower and Middle Schools before joining our competitive Upper School program. Our boys graduate Buckley as comfortable athletes and often join teams in high school and college.

We take the safety of our young athletes seriously and employ multiple trainers in the gyms and on the fields. We have partnered with leaders in the concussion management field and have every one of our boys baseline tested to help us monitor any future injuries.

We believe in fitness, focus, fortitude, and fun in the Buckley athletics department, and we are proud of the student-athletes our boys become.
