Update on the Puerto Rico Relief Drive

It is our pleasure to announce to the community that the student officers and representatives of the Student Council voted to donate all profits from the sales of Student Council merchandise for 2017-2018 to Hurricane Relief in America, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean after the Community Service Representative presented this proposal. In the absence of the Chairman, the vote was approved by the Secretary.

 

It is also a pleasure to announce the formation of a small Hurricane Relief task force, led by the Community Service Representative, to investigate the best charities and funds for Buckley's donations.  The task force will send its recommendations to the Chairman, who will clear the decisions with Mr. O'Melia.

 

The Student Council, led by Caroline Berry, Assistant Headmaster, is a combination of Upper School students who have previously sat on committees and other leadership roles, like Ushers, to be a part of the Council.
